How Battery Storage is Revolutionising Renewable Energy in...

Manchester’s based engineering company operating for more than 150 years invest in renewable energy on their new industrial building.
One of the most iconic Manchester engineers, Nasmyth created the steam hammer, which harnessed the power of steam to strike much heavier blows than was possible under gravity alone, and in turn could be used to manufacture large sections including ships’ anchors. This is how all it started.
More than 175 years after Nasmyth’s invention, Fletchers are proud to be breathing new life into this substantial site, with many modern amenities to help make it sustainable for the future as well.
To match our client level of perfection, innovations and quality that they are known from, we have to prepare something special.
Starting with design team, we have worked in close with commercial roofing company to rearrange sky lights in order to maximise space for as many solar panels as possible.
To harness renewable energy effectively, we have deployed state of art latest technology straight form SolarEdge. Established in 2006, SolarEdge developed the DC optimized inverter solution that changed the way power is harvested and managed in solar panels systems. The SolarEdge intelligent inverter solution maximizes power generation while lowering the cost of energy produced by the Solar Panels system.
Finally, to improve self consumption of renewable energy even more, we have installed a GRID meter to measure entire electrical supply. This smart device use can bus technology to send data quickly to a monitoring centre. This then allow our client to view the real time onsite consumption.
The system is outperforming our expectations.
Despite being a live site, we have delivered this 50 kWp Solar Panels system in just a week. Apart from the fact that this renewable energy investment is already contributing to lower electrical bills, our client loves most an interactive online portal. It gives them a full insight on theirs energy affairs.

Along with the big contracts I know you usually work on the professionalism and quality of work you provided for me on a one off job was truly outstanding. I have had many previous encounters with tradespeople who are late (or never show up) and only do half a job, and ask for more money than originally quoted. To my relief Griff Services have been an absolute pleasure to do business with and I have recommended their services to my colleagues, family, and friends who are in the Construction trade.
We needed 6 Solar Panels to be assembled and dismantled few days later. These were for training purposes for local Fire Brigade in Manchester. Project was successful with just few minor issues that have been addressed and resolved at the time. We would definitely use Griff Services Ltd in future.
Meeting Michael and the GRIFF team was a breath of fresh air. Michael and his entire team were on-hand and available through the whole process to cope with the inevitable challenges of a project this size, and their ongoing quality assurance throughout the programme ensured that on move-in day, we did not even have one item which was not fully operational. I would thoroughly recommend GRIFF tor commercial projects of any scale.
Michael at Griff has done work for me both commercial and residential. Excellent ability to understand and execute every job with a great attention to detail and positive attitude.
The team at Griff Services are very friendly and have superb attention to detail. They have installed a number of our chargers, and the service they provide us is great.
We needed to replace solar panels inverter and Griff Services quoted a very sensible price. They were able to do the installation only a few days later. It was all done in a day, with no disruption and a great deal of efficiency and courtesy. We were exceedingly impressed by Michael’s conscientious approach, both to the original discussions and the planning process, and also to the execution of the job. He was a pleasure to meet and to have around the place. Thank you, Michael.
