The Different Energy-Efficient Lighting Solutions for Your Home
02nd Dec 24
Council buildings contribute a major amount of carbon dioxide to the environment. This is done by the buildings burning fossil fuels for electrical energy, heating and other purposes. This way of creating energy is not energy efficient.
Mentioned above green house gases are affecting climate change and also contribute major expense with costs which are set to increase over the coming years.
Calderdale Council’s Environmental policy sets a challenging target to reduce our carbon dioxide emissions by 40% (compared to 2005 levels) by 2020.
Energy efficiency is the most cost effective way to reduce our emissions of carbon dioxide.
Only 17% of all the electricity used by Calderdale Council is now generated from certified renewable energy sources. This results in a carbon dioxide saving of around 1,020 tonnes per year.
To meet ambitious targets, more Solar Panel systems need to be installed across council owned buildings.
The shinny 184 Solar Panels were installed using K2 mounting system.
Now up-and-running, it is generating in excess of 30,000 kWh of electricity per year, giving the client substantial reductions on their energy bills and reducing their environmental impact by over 20 tonnes annually.
Used SolarEdge inverters and monitoring software allows to observe panel level performance as well as adds extra yield.
Due to high power consumption by Leisure centre, this system payback was really impressive.
Good afternoon Michael,
I feel I must write to you regarding your engineers, they are all fantastic people and are very good at their jobs. They are a credit to you and your company, they are knowledgeable work quickly and cleanly and at the same time being happy in their work. I am very impressed and think they are a credit to your company.
Thank you for getting it all completed
The team at Griff Services are very friendly and have superb attention to detail. They have installed a number of our chargers, and the service they provide us is great.
We needed 6 Solar Panels to be assembled and dismantled few days later. These were for training purposes for local Fire Brigade in Manchester. Project was successful with just few minor issues that have been addressed and resolved at the time. We would definitely use Griff Services Ltd in future.
Along with the big contracts I know you usually work on the professionalism and quality of work you provided for me on a one off job was truly outstanding. I have had many previous encounters with tradespeople who are late (or never show up) and only do half a job, and ask for more money than originally quoted. To my relief Griff Services have been an absolute pleasure to do business with and I have recommended their services to my colleagues, family, and friends who are in the Construction trade.
Griff Services ltd are an extremely dedicated and professional contractor, on which nothing seems to hinder their performance. Mike and Joanne has an in-depth knowledge of products and applications required for each job. We as his electrical supplier can only recommend any potential works his way with the upmost faith the project will be satisfied completely. Good luck in the future.
We were really impressed by the professionalism of Griff Services and would recommend them in the future. The work was undertaken well and we had positive comments regarding the corporate identity of Michael and his co-worker and the company vehicle.
Meeting Michael and the GRIFF team was a breath of fresh air. Michael and his entire team were on-hand and available through the whole process to cope with the inevitable challenges of a project this size, and their ongoing quality assurance throughout the programme ensured that on move-in day, we did not even have one item which was not fully operational. I would thoroughly recommend GRIFF tor commercial projects of any scale.
