The management of PHD Phoenix decided to reinvest its profit in order to improve working conditions for its 1500 employees and to also improve air quality by reducing pollution. After considering number of options the decision was made to roll out the installation plan for Solar PV and LED upgrade to all its sites across UK with the first site having Solar PV Installation, this was in Birmingham.
The project involved the installation of 1,000 solar modules onto an industrial roof.
The 1,636m2 solar array enables this global business to generate of 193 kWh solar energy every year and achieve annual savings of over 115 tonnes of CO2 too. To enhance production levels as well as make a quality statement, the decision was made to implement a Solar Edge optimised system in place of traditional string inverters. The project was delivered from start to finish in just five weeks without any disruption to this busy company.
