LED Lighting Carbon Reduction Solutions

LED products are steadily replacing traditional lighting arrangements, and for good reason.

Not only do traditional “incandescent” lightbulbs have a much shorter lifespan, they also use excessive amounts of energy and cost a lot more money to buy in the long run. LED lightbulbs are a far superior and more environmentally friendly alternative that can easily be installed in residential and commercial properties alike.

Why Use LED Lighbulbs?

Did you know that a traditional light bulb is like an electric heater? When switched on it will produce heat and only 10% of that energy is actually turned into light!

On the other hand, LED lights don’t need to produce heat to emit light. This means that almost all of the energy used by an LED product will be converted to light. We strongly recommend that you consider upgrading to LED lighting as it is one of the most efficient ways to save money on your energy bills, as well as contributing towards a greener planet.

LED’s longer lifespans and lower energy use, coupled with cheaper purchasing prices due to mass market demand, make them an all-round more affordable option compared to alternative lighting. In fact, a correctly tailored LED lighting upgrade by Griff Services Ltd can save you up to 90% on your energy bill. This means you’re able to gain your money back in under a year!

LED F.A.Qs

Your questions answered.

How long do LED lights last?

– A good LED light will come with at least a 5-year warranty. We have installed commercial products with a full 10 years cover!

How Much Energy Do LED Lights Use?

– As mentioned before, LEDs are much more efficient than other lighting systems due to the fact that 80-90% of the energy an LED product produces is converted into light.

Do LED Lights Get Hot?

– Unlike a traditional halogen lamp, which will reach temperatures of 300 degrees Celsius, LED lights use so little heat that they remain safe to the touch after several hours of use. We can safely install these lights in densely insulated attics without any worry of a fire hazard occurring.

Do LED Lights Need to “Warm Up”?

– No, LED lights offer full brightness from the moment they are switched on. Great if you have low volume traffic areas and don’t need light at all times.

At Griff Services Ltd we provide bespoke lighting solutions for all uses and applications. We are a leading LED Lighting installer in Manchester and specialise in commercial and industrial solutions.
